About also's Fundraising
also is a registered charity (#106704570 RR0001), with a Board of Volunteer Directors providing general direction and fundraising-support, day-to-day activities run by professional staff and volunteers, and funding support from a variety of sources.
also's core programs receive funding from various levels of government (click here for details of funders). The Family Literacy initiatives are sustained by our own fundraising efforts.
Fundraising resources are dedicated to front-line delivery of services to low income families.

Think about it…
Supporting our RAPP program is an important part of family literacy in Ottawa. A donation of:
- $25 supports a family for 3 months
- $100 supports a family for 1 year
- $500 supports a group of up to 10 families for 1 year
Your contribution will help us provide families with packs containing a children's book for each child in the family, reading and language hints for the parents, songs, poetry, activities and crafts for everyone.
